Today as I write this, we are preparing to depart Beijing and head to the next stop. We've been in China for six days, and it's been fascinating. I really want to share my thoughts but one has to be careful because you really can't speak freely on the internet. More to come on that later, once we are in another place ...
Among other things, it's been rather amusing to read the signs and the attempt to translate into English. The Chinese people are friendly for the most part, and a lot of the young people here speak English. But trying to put their signs into another language? ... well something gets lost in translation.
